Marie Gervais, PhD., CSTD, CEO Shift Managment Inc., Consultant
Marie provides leadership and culturally competent management training for industry, writes workplace eLearning curriculum, and develops and manages projects for integration of immigrant workers and immigrant entrepreneurship. Her work focuses on developing diverse workforce capacity and helping industry build a talent pipeline. She is currently creating the Employer Hire Immigrants Integration Tool for Central Alberta, and recently completed CPA’s Canadian Business Accounting for Internationally Trained Accountants. One of her projects for immigrants, Work and Culture Online, consists of 10 eLearning modules for internationally trained professionals and their managers, and boasts over 10,000 users internationally. A lifelong learner, Marie is a credentialed evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society, a Certified Training and Development Professional and is currently working on an international certificate in Mentoring.
Prior to working in her own business, Marie spent six years in the not-for-profit sector and has a long and successful career in adult education. As a practicing choral and theatre director and visual artist, she works imaginatively to bring people closer to the realization of their personal and organizational potential through a balanced combination of rigor and fun.
Marie volunteers with SCDO as a grant writer, mentor and coach to the Executive Director and team, and makes extensive referrals to community resources.
